Built into the side of a rock at an altitude of over 120m, the village of Rocamadour is famous far beyond its borders. Its landmark monuments include the Basilica of Saint-Sauveur and the Chapel of Notre-Dame, which houses the Black Madonna. Their silhouettes overlook the Anzou canyon. To get there, you'll have to climb the 216 steps of the Grand Escalier. Don't leave Rocamadour without trying the PDO goat's cheese of the same name!
